Sustainability. Commercial RCHEs operate for profit; NGOs deliver public good. Revenue from commercial operators cross-subsidises free access for everyone — carers, families, and the NGO sector.

Can I use the API without paying?

Yes — the live endpoints are publicly accessible for development, research, and non-commercial use. Production commercial use requires Tier 2 or above.
